Rain, beautiful refreshing rain

Rain fell, almost an inch.  The plants love it.  They also had to resist against about 4 inches of wind.  Most of the tomato stakes are down.  The sudden growth spurt due to the cooler temperatures has caused some of the Noire Des Coesbeufs to start cracking.  So far only about 20% of the tomatoes on the plant.  We want them to be pretty, but its part of growing tomatoes.

Today is another Diatomaceous Earth day.  The battle between MLGardens, stink bugs (Hemiptera) and grasshoppers (Caelifera) continues.  We are still determined to use only organic methods of insect control, of which DE seems to be the best most effective method.  (see MLGardens video on applying DE in the garden here).
